Raised sides give a dog somewhere to lean, but they also take space away from the sleeping surface. The 28-inch Bedsure Original is worth a look if you want a sofa-style bed without committing to a large floor cushion.

What the listing actually specifies
The selected size is listed as 28 × 23 × 6.5 inches. It uses egg-crate foam, four raised sides with a lowered entrance, a removable machine-washable cover and a nonslip bottom. The listing describes a laminated waterproof layer in the cover. We have not tested that claim.
These outside dimensions are not the usable sleeping area. Mark out a 28-by-23-inch rectangle before ordering, then check the current size diagram for the space inside the bolsters. A dog that stretches out may need more room than a curled-up photograph suggests.
Why it made our established-product shortlist
Amazon gives June 10, 2020 as this listing’s first-available date. It was in stock and displayed a category bestseller badge when checked. Those are useful selection signals, not a promise of future stock or evidence that every variation shares the same quality. Ratings on a page with several sizes and styles may combine different versions.
The practical advantage: a removable cover
Being able to remove the cover is helpful if you want to wash the sleeping surface without putting the entire bed in a machine. Follow the sewn-in care label. A washable cover does not mean the foam insert can be washed the same way.
Before buying, consider where you will put the foam while the cover dries. That small detail matters in an apartment where the bed may be your dog’s main resting place.
Reasons to hesitate
The raised sides use some of the footprint, so this is not automatically the roomiest choice for its outside size. A flat mat may make better use of a narrow gap. We have not verified chew resistance, long-term foam compression or a replacement-cover supply for this exact version.
“Orthopedic” is the product’s description. We cannot conclude from a listing that it will relieve pain or treat a joint condition. Ask your veterinarian if your dog has difficulty getting up or seems uncomfortable.

Consider it if your dog likes a bolster and the inside sleeping area fits. Choose a flatter design if spreading out matters more than raised sides. Measure first, and keep the packaging until you have checked the delivered version and its care instructions.
